Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency:

A vitamin B12 deficiency can affect your body in many ways, some of which you may not even realise. Perhaps you’ve just gotten used to feeling “this way” when such a simple choice could make all the difference.

Headaches, heart palpitations, breathlessness, lack of energy, and feeling faint and fatigued are all symptoms linked with a vitamin B12 deficiency. You can combat this today and continue to feel the benefits for months to come with one quick injection.

How does the process work?

On arrival, you will be met by one of our professional clinicians, who will talk you through the injections and answer any questions you may have before administering your vitamin B12.

After your injection, you will be asked to stay in the clinic for 15 minutes as part of our duty of care to make sure you are feeling okay immediately afterwards.

Is it safe?

Yes, B12 injections are commonly used worldwide with little to no risks or side effects (other than a little soreness around the injection area which you would expect from any injection). If you have any concerns, our professional clinicians will be on hand to discuss this with you before administering your dose.

You should not have B12 injections if:

  • You have an allergy to hydroxocobalamin or any of its ingredients.
  • You have low potassium levels or medication that may reduce your potassium.
  • You have other deficiencies, including folic acid or iron.
  • You have a blood disorder.

Side Effects

Generally, side effects are uncommon, often mild, and usually resolve within a few days of treatment. You may experience some pain, itching, redness or swelling at the injection site. This will usually settle quite quickly without any intervention, but if you do experience any prolonged side effects, it is important to contact your practitioner/GP for a review. Bruising is uncommon, but if it does occur, it may take up to 2 weeks to fully resolve.
